Frequently Asked Questions

Why was the location of Philadelphia Bus Station changed?

This move had several reasons and began in early 2023. One of the main reasons is that the previous station’s location caused safety issues and congestion for some routes and daily traffic. It was estimated that this could worsen during the holiday season, so the decision was made to make this temporary relocation while establishing a new fixed terminal.

Does the new Philadelphia terminal have a waiting room and bathrooms?

No, as it’s temporarily outdoors, passengers are expected to purchase their tickets and wait for the bus at Spring Garden Street and Delaware Avenue. Regarding bathrooms, portable toilets are being placed near Noble Street and Delaware Avenue, which will undergo regular maintenance and inspections. This has not been well-received by many passengers who claim the lack of bathrooms and weather protection.

How long will the temporary bus location in Philadelphia last?

A new location that meets the criteria for providing quality service is still being sought. It should fulfill the criteria of availability and proximity to public transportation and the regional highway system. The current temporary location has permission to operate until March 2024.
